Give your child the gift of a well-rounded education. Contact us today to learn more about our after-hours programs and how we can help your child thrive both academically and emotionally.
Developing productive study practices and homework proficiency is a vital skill for young students. At Open Doors Learning, we transform the stress of homework into a positive, productive experience. Our afternoon programs are led by experienced, accredited teachers.
In addition to study support, our program integrates advice and workshops focusing on study skills and personal organisation, with the aim of helping young people to better navigate their middle-school years.
So, our supervised after-hours learning creates a win-win solution: parents gain peace of mind knowing their children are supported, and students benefit from a balanced routine that emphasises productivity and play.
What makes Open Doors Learning unique is that we blend academic support with a variety of engaging activities - including games, fitness and creative pursuits - to create an environment where students flourish both academically and emotionally.
Open Doors is more than an after-school homework centre - it’s a wellbeing hub. We know that students need more than good grades to really thrive; they need balance. That’s why our afternoons are largely technology-free, with minimal screen time yet plenty of fun. as well as the opportunity to connect with others. This will help us prioritise social connections over reliance on social media. We will focus on life skills to boost confidence and self esteem.
Under the guidance of dedicated teachers and accomplished graduates, we provide a structured, yet relaxed, environment where Years 5-9 students can both receive academic support and develop skills and competencies that will help them thrive both inside and outside of the classroom This setup ensures students get the help they need to tackle challenging subjects while fostering independence and confidence.
Students will arrive at their own pace and start work on their homework tasks, supported by mentors. Alternatively, they will be able to read quietly in our reading area. Afternoon fruit and drink will be provided.
Students will be invited to play a fun, collaborative game outside (weather depending). or be involved in a physical or creative activity. The activity will vary each day.
This time will be led by the mentors and will target an aspect of schooling or daily life according to the needs and interests of the students.
Students will continue working on their homework until departure from the hub.
